The UK government
seems to be supporting the US war against Iraq. What are your views?
The UK has a strong record in recent history of tail-wagging behind the
US, and if the US goes to war - whether unilaterally or after bribing
other members of the security council into supporting them - it is a
foregone conclusion that the UK will go with them. We can only try to
educate the British public about the discrepancy between the rhetoric
and the political reality, and there is not much enthusiasm for this
war
amongst the British population, but the cynicism of modern
"democratic" governments has by now reached a level, where leading
politicians can openly declare that even if the British population or
the
majority of members in parliament object to going to war, the prime
minister can and will still do so.
